The overwhelming compulsion to self-injure severe enough to cause tissue damage. Compulsive Self Injurious Behavior is cloaked in shame, secrecy, and self-loathing.
Suzanne’s hypothesis – Compulsive Self Injury is not the problem, but a symptom of an unconscious traumatic wounding of the psyche.
